Mount Alam-Kuh Trekking Tour (Hesar Chal)

Alam-Kuh is a mountain in Alborz mountain range in north of Iran, Mazandaran Province, forming a peak of Takht-e Suleyman Massif. It is located in Kelardasht District of Mazandaran Province of Iran. With an elevation of 4,848 meters, it is the second highest peak in Iran after Mount Damavand.The 8th highest wall of the world, nearly 600 m, is located in the northern face with snow and glaciers. Alam kuh is one of the important center of difficult and technical paths. In this climbing program, you are going to ascend Mount Alam Kuh from the north (Roodbarak – Sar Chal, Alam Chal- Siah Sang or the wall itself), and south (Roodbarak – Tange Gelou- Hesar Chal) face, a quiet path with eco-touristic parameters and an advanced camp. On this path, you can see the unique vegetation of Alborz mountain ranges, along with its mild mountainous climate, while enjoying the spectacular sceneries of Alborz highlands. You have whatever it takes to have a memorable climb.

Itinerary

Diving to Roodbarak through Chalus road, passing Kandovan and enter Marzan Abad visiting the beautiful green landscape, O/N Rudbarak(Local House B-L-D)

Drive towards Tang e Galou, start trekking in the southern foothills of Alam Kouh(with altitude of ~3700m) via Hesarchal route, another important part of Alburz Range (Camp/Tent-B-Lunch Box-D)

One more full day acclimatization, enjoying the beauties of the nature and glaciers, visit Hesar Chal Lake (5-6 hours & with altitude of ~ 4000m), one of the paths leading to Alam Kouh on the south Face of this mount, covered by permanent glaciers , O/N Hesarchal O/N Hesarchal (Camp/Tent-B-Lunch Box-D)

Heading Toward the Peak (4848 m) & then descending toward Hesar Chal, O/N Hesarchal (Tent/Camp-B-Lunch box -D)

After breakfast heading back to Tangeh Galu, back to Rudbarak, return to Tehran through Chalus Road , O/N Tehran (Hotel-Lunch Box)

Visa

In order to get the visa, we need 7 working days to get the invitation ref number from Iran foreign ministry.
The needed documents are: a completed visa application form (please Click here to fill the application form),
the copy of your passport; and also the scan of your former visa if you have traveled to Iran before .
