Iran Motorcycling Tour

Get a feel of the ancient and diverse land of Iran in one go. Great landscapes, feeling a variety of climates from cold freezing mountains to arid deserts. From motorcycle riding in dramatic, curvy mountainous roads of north west and west to the experience of riding on a flat plain road in the central part of Iran. By riding your motorcycles, you can pass through some important parts of the silk road in Iran, at last, the unforgettable dream of riding in the heart of desert.
Your first destination is Azerbaijan province of Iran to visit the famous ancient church of Qareh Kelisa (Black Church), as one of the five Armenian Monastic Ensembles in Iran and Tabriz Bazaar, UNESCO World Heritage Sites, you arrive at the spectacular village of Kandovan. Visit the historical Takhte Soleyman complex in Takab, UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the mesmerizing water cave of Alisadr. Visiting a sample of Persian Gardens in Kashan’s Fin Garden, UNESCO World Heritage Site, later on, delve into the creative city of Isfahan with its numerous UNESCO World Heritage Site monuments.
From this point on, you start the next chapter of this journey with a stop at the desert areas of central Iran, such as remote fascinating destinations, like Mesr Desert. You will walk among the ancient alley ways of Yazd city which is registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Bed down in Abarkuh, then rise and shine for your last destination, the city of nightingales and flowers, Shiraz.

Itinerary

You start your trip from the border of Bazargan with an almost two-hour drive via the scenic west roads of Iran to Maku, a town located between two rocky foothills; the northern part of which could be imagined as a common ceiling over lots of houses.

Then you visit Qareh kalisa, UNESCO World Heritage Site, or the Black church, in a mountainous area, which its conical roofs are visible from afar.  It is one of the five Armenian Monastic Ensembles in Iran. Head to Marand.

Today you will ride on motorbikes to Tabriz, explore the highlights of Tabriz, like Amir Nezam House, the living proof of the history of Qajar Era and Tabriz Bazaar (Timcheh e Mozafariyeh), UNESCO World Heritage Site, the largest covered bazaar of the world located on Silk Road. Then in the evening, you will taste a local delicious cuisine. Depending on timing, you may spend the night walking around El-Göli Park and breathe deeply in the scents of fragrant flowers.

Marand-Tabriz: ~70 km, 1h

Third day would be very memorable throughout your trip. One of the rarest and unique places in world, the spectacular Kandovan is your next destination. This amazing village with its cave style architecture that exemplifies manmade cliff dwellings is still inhabited, compared to the only uninhabited similar village called Cappadocia located in Turkey. where you can feel the modernity and history simultaneously; The most distinctive feeling you may never experience again.

In the morning you ride towards south, to Takab, to discover Takht-e Soleyman Complex, UNESCO World Heritage Site, including Adur Gushnasp Fire Temple (Zoroastrian fire temple) and

Solomon prison (symbolic prison), from the top of which you can explore its splendid view of the remnants of another ancient religious and historical era, Sassanid.

Kandovan-Takab: ~300 km, 4 h 40 min

You ride your motorcycles towards Sanandaj, visit Karaftoo cave along the way, Karaftoo cave is in a limestone mountain in the north valley. Its deep and cellar holes are located in the main cave. Terry is one of the rooms on the third floor there is a Greek inscription, and why the cave temple Hercules is called. City sightseeing and visit some highlights of Sanandaj, such as Kurd Museum, and traditional Kurdish bazaar.

Today you head to Hamedan, visit Hamadan highlights including, Alaviyan Dome, Abu-Ali –Sina(Avicenna) tomb, Estr & Mardkhay tombs, Ganjnameh, dating back to Achaemenid Era and belonging to Darius the great, and Hegmataneh historical remnant & museum.

Sanandaj-Hamedan: ~175 km, 2 h 30 min

After breakfast, you ride towards Alisadre to visit amazing Alisadr Water Cave, boat riding in the biggest water cave in Iran, it has the longest boat riding rout in the world, then head to Lalejin Town, renowned for its pottery workshops. Stroll in the Town and buy some beautiful souvenirs.

Today, continue your trip to the central part of Iran and ride your motorcycles to Qom.

Ride your motorcycles to Kashan, spend some time browsing the breathtaking highlights of Kashan. The first attraction is the lavish Fin Garden, UNESCO World Heritage Site. A historical legacy that contains the famous Fin bath belonging to the long list of Persian gardens. Lastly marvel at the affluent historical Tabatabaei House and Borujerdi House. The details and special features of the architecture is truly a treat for the eyes.

Ride to Abyaneh, visit the spectacular village of Abyaneh. A village of great antiquity, which resembles a living architectural and anthropological museum, dating back to Safavid Era. You explore Mesr Village and its surrounding farms with a flat texture, which is located in a sea of sand. Camel riding on the labyrinthine sand hills is an interesting activity for urban people who are used to modern transportation means. At the ending hours of the day you can bask in the enchanting last rays of the desert sunset.

Ride your motorcycles to Yazd, visit the highlights of Meybod on the way including caravansary, traditional refrigerator (Ice houses), Chaparkhane (old post center), Pigeon Tower, Narin Castle and Ceramic shops. Head to Yazd.

Despite its location, Yazd, just like any other desert city in Iran, has many green gardens and green areas, located near Qanats, an ancient Iranian engineering technique. The historical city of Yazd has also been recognized a world Heritage Site by UNESCO since 2017. Ride your motorcycles to Persepolis, visit Persepolis and Pasargadae, the most important historical sites of Iranian civilization, dating back to 2500 years ago, and UNESCO World Heritage Site. First visit the historical ensemble of Pasargadae including the tomb of Cyrus the great, engraves and Palaces. Then delve into the mighty Persepolis consisting of the remnant Achaemenid palaces, magnificent gates and the historical engraves. Naghsh-e Rostam and Naghsh-e Rajab are the other historical sites that you would stop to visit on your way to Shiraz.

Ride your motorcycles to Shiraz, for a while sightseeing including Eram Garden, Pink Mosque (Nasir ol Molk Mosque) and Vakil Complex (Bath, Mosque and Bazaar). Depending on timing, you get to visit tomb of Famous Iranian Poet, HAFEZ.

• please keep in mind that this tour is performed with the passengers own vehicles(motorcycles), therefor there will not be a motorcycle provided by the agency.
• Necessary gears: Motorcycle gloves and helmet. Other protective gears that the riders see necessary for themselves.
• Local house single rooms are not provided unless the client asks us for a single room. Also normally in local house, there are no beds.
• On sea trips in case of bad conditions of the sea the routes and timing may change

Copy of your passport; and also the scan of your former visa if you have traveled to Iran before .
